Environment Awareness Session for Grade 6 -7

An extremely educative and engaging interactive session took place in VSE campus today for children of grades 6 and 7. The session stressed on the impact of our consumption on the environment. The session was conducted by Shailaja Rangarajan – Co-Founder of Rimagined, Rimagined is a business promoting up-cycling.

Up-cycling, also known as creative reuse is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value. Our students participated in the session and also put forth their own valuable ideas on how they reused glass jars, containers, cans, gallon jugs, plastic soda bottles, takeout and other plastic containers, newspapers, magazines, and paper bags ,clothes, towels, and bedding etc. …and transformed them into decorative articles or gifts for their friends.

It was an extremely fruitful session which encouraged the children to stand out of the crowd, be unique and bring a positive change in the world we call home.”
