“Cancer” is a disorder which has become common in the recent times. Grade 10,11& 12 students had an interactive and interesting session about detection of early stage cancer. The speaker, Dr. Manjiri Bakre, CEO & Founder of Oncostem Diagnostics (Bengaluru), explained the molecular biology of the disorder. She spoke at length, the tests developed at her lab, that can detect breast cancer in the early stages. This helps in eliminating the need for chemotherapy, the nightmare of every cancer patient. With different case studies, Dr. Manjiri cleared all doubts pertaining to cancer.
