National Science Day celebration of Grade 8, 9 & 11

Students and teachers of Grade 8, 9 & 11 celebrated the National Science Day on 6th March 2020. The day is celebrated in the honour of Sir C V Raman for his path breaking discovery of the Raman effect.

The mega event was the Quiz Finals. The questions were nerve wracking and interesting which made even the audience charged up. After 4 rigorous rounds, we had the winners, Shreyansh of Grade 9 and Jaimie of Grade 8.

We had our young scientists, Siddhesh of Grade 8 who demonstrated and spoke about Smart Farming, a device that can assess soil pH, humidity and other parameters with just a click . Kartik of Grade 9 had a simple and effective ‘clap switch’ which will be a boon to physically challenged people.

The Raman effect – what made it a path breaking discovery? The answer to the question was unravelled in a short video which talked about the Life of Sir C V Raman. The children were enlightened with a short video on sustainable development which highlights the importance of saving for our future generation.

It was a wonderful day which showcased the scienctific temperament of the students.
