Field trips are exciting educational opportunities for students and teachers alike. They are designed to enhance the educational experience for all students and provide them with an opportunity to learn outside the classroom. The importance of these trips provides the students a chance to build a closer bond with their peers, teachers and new environments and enjoy a day away from the classroom.

Vydehi School of Excellence, Bengaluru, arranged a field trip to grade 8 students on 02nd September, 2022 (Friday) to The University of Agriculture Sciences, GKVK Campus. All the students were excited to explore the Agricultural Science Museum, Nursery, Agricultural tools and machinery, etc. They got to know about the soil types of Karnataka, the grain storage facilities and many more things. They even got an opportunity to see the awards and distinctions received by the university. In the nursery, they were very eager to see different varieties of plants like fig, chikku, mango, breadfruit, cacti varieties, succulents, hibiscus, chrysanthemum and many indoor & flowering plants. Many of them bought few plants as a remembrance. It was a nice take away.

They even visited a food stall organized by the university for the farmers and visitors and enjoyed having mouth-watering snacks and ice-creams. Overall, it was a fun filled day out with friends and teachers gaining hands-on experiential learning about agriculture, for the students.
