The Secondary School philosophy realizes the importance of preadolescence and adolescent stages of development and sees this as a transitional period between Elementary and High School. This stage helps students move from a self-contained learning environment to a more structured departmentalized program.
Our student-centered teaching methods include group projects, autonomous learning, motivational programs, experiential learning, skill development sessions and encouraging creative ideas. Across the curriculum, we aim to balance both content and process, addressing a wide range of learning styles and giving individual attention in the classroom. The desired outcomes for students include research skills, time and organization strategies, study skills, critical thinking ability.
Inherent in our teaching methodology is the development of social skills and personal values.
The Middle School provides a rigorous, yet stimulating, program for early adolescent students with opportunities for exploration in new fields of study. This is an important phase of life to the students as it is the foundation to later stages of their life. Vydehi School guides by providing an early preparation to meet this transitional stage successfully. The essence of our program is the concept of educating and fostering the growth of a child and developing an increasing sense of personal and academic responsibility.
