Vydehi School Of Excellence Diwali Celebration 2012
Diwali, a celebration of light and hope, is considered as one of our national festivals, which conveys the promising moral idea, ‘victory of good over evil’. India usually celebrate this luminous festival with lighting up ‘Dia’ and bursting fire crackers up, thanks to their symbolic meanings- Light of ‘Dia’ gets rid of darkness of ignorance and fire crackers are burst to drive away bad spirits. The word ‘Diwali’ is an abbreviation of the word “Deepavali” which means ‘row of lamps’. In this inspiring festive mood, Vydehi School of Excellence, Bangalore celebrated their Diwali day on 8th November, this year. (more…)
Primary School Sports Week Vydehi School Of Excellence
The Sports event for the primary school section was conducted in Vydehi School of Excellence, on 8th November 2012. Children were overwhelmed with their passion for sports and teachers organized the event in a way that it kept everybody very spirited from the beginning to end. The event, which is a part of the primary education, was all about showcasing students’ stamina, strength and intellect by participating in various outdoor- and indoor sports competition. The preliminary rounds of both indoor and outdoor games took place from 5th to 7th November. Chess and Carrom were the most sought after indoor games while baton relay and 100 meters were the favorites among outdoor games. (more…)
A stellar trip to the planetarium by Vydehi School of Excellence
A trip to planetarium is always a fun ride for children, who generally are so keen to explore the world and it’s magic. Structured with great architectural brilliance and a giant screen, a planetarium always makes everyone feel like ‘soap opera stars’. Interestingly, “Vydehi School of Excellence” made their second field trip of the year to the famous Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium on 23rd August. Both the children and teachers were of the same opinion that the time spent in the planetarium was frolicking fun. (more…)
VSE Independence Day Celebration 2012
With advent of August we are reminded of the most memorable day of the life of any Indian, the day is none other than the Independence Day. Independence Day, one of the three national holidays in India, is observed in all states and union territories of India. The special assembly on “Independence Day” was held in Vydehi School Of Excellence, it was informative and enjoyable. The school wore a festive look and the Tricolour was unfurled at the schools on the following day. Patriotic songs were played to mark the Independence Day. There were several other events to show respect to the martyrs of freedom struggle of India . (more…)
First Field Trip Vydehi School Of Excellence Vishveshwaraya Museum
The first field trip of the year for Vydehi School of Excellence was made to the Vishveshwaraya Museum on July .Children’s museums can be found in almost all cities today and they serve as a great way to expose a child to education. These museums are generally full of hands on exhibits that entertain and encourage learning all at the same time. A museum is a great place for children to learn about science as well. (more…)
Vydehi School Of Excellence Coloring Competition
Vydehi School Coloring Competition
The first coloring competition of the year was held in Vydehi School of Excellence in June which witnessed some budding artist in full form .Their imaginative skills transformed the black and white sheets to amazing colorful pictures. Coloring as an art is a way of expressing emotions in a creative manner. Usually it is the practice of applying medium such as paint or color pigments to surfaces such as walls, glass, canvas and paper. Application is usually done by using objects such as brushes. Coloring or painting occurs in numerous forms they can be drawings or collages. (more…)
