Freedom in the mind, Faith in the words and Pride in our souls. We feel proud to be an Indian. VSE marked the celebration on the 70th INDEPENDENCE DAY on15th Aug, 2016. The tiny tots of “preprimary” celebrated Independence Day. The saga of independence was recalled to the students. The students were engaged in the flag making activity to make them understand the various colours of flag along with the significance of each colour.
The Primary and the Middle class students celebrated the Independence Day. The event commenced with the flag hoisting by the Ms. Laly Mathews (Advisor-VSE), Ms. Sinia Sajith (Principal-VSE) and Anita Bhaskaran (Principal-Vydehi School Rehabilitation) followed by the series of programs. Entire school took an oath to serve the country and to do everything to uplift her glory. Children sang patriotic songs followed by the prize distribution. The major highlight was the “Street Play” to depict the India before and after independence. The traditional dance performance tuned the entire school on the beats of patriotism. The entire event inspired all of us to follow the teaching of peace and non-violence that was preached by Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation. And this day reminds us of our duty and responsibility to the country.
