ANGER MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

“When angry, count to ten before you speak. If very angry, count to one hundred.”
– Thomas Jefferson.

As it is well said, “Anger is one letter away from danger.” If you’re wondering what anger is like, “anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.” There are three types of anger: aggressive, passive and assertive and the best way around it is to take a stroll when you’re angry. Anger Management is not only good for you but also has a positive impact on those closest to you. Anger is an emotion but it is a destructive emotion, like holding on to a lump of hot coal, and only a fool would keep holding it.

Being in the middle school, the students become the victims of adolescence, and hence come the unnecessary anger and rudeness. This is the only time to let them understand the importance of ANGER MANAGEMENT and how to deal with their emotional turmoil. To make this journey of change easier for them we at our school, VYDEHI SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE, organised an ANGER MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP on 8th July 2022 for our grade 7 students. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Shubhra Nautiyal Punetha , M.B.B.S, DNB (Psychiatry).

Dr Shubhra Nautiyal Punetha is a qualified Psychiatrist DNB (Psychiatry) currently practicing Integrated Medicine in Wellness Clinic (from Feb 2017) at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Whitefield Bangalore with a special interest in using drugless approaches in handling Mental Health issues.

The workshop was a success and all the students participated in a great calmness and eagerness. A heartly thanks to Dr Shubhra for making our students realize the essence of life and the meaning of anger management.
