“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” Courage is a rare virtue and deserves appreciation and recognition whenever shown. This trait is more admirable when it is selfless such as when soldiers risk their lives to protect their country and countrymen.

After Independence, India established three gallantry awards for the armed forces-

       Param Vir Chakra

      Maha Vir Chakra

      Vir Chakra.

Among these the Param Vir Chakra is the highest bravery award for officers of all defense forces. Param Vir Chakra means ‘bravest of the brave’.

Our school Vydehi School of Excellence has conducted the CCA- Drawing/Painting on the topic Gallantry Awards.

All the students participated with lots of enthusiasm in this activity to show their zeal for the activity. They expressed their imagination through their creativity in the form of colorful painting and drawing.
