To encourage imagination and creativity amongst our young students, a Puppet Making Competition was recently organized by Vydehi School of Excellence for Grade 2 students on October 5, 2021. The students engaged in an extraordinary Historical exercise of Puppetry Making. The students overwhelmingly participated in the competition and came up with various kinds of puppets.

Puppetry is a very ancient form of theatre which was first recorded in the 5th century BC in Greece. Puppetry may take any form, but it shares the process of animating inanimate performing objects to tell a story. Education is the secret key of human success but art is the best way to enhance the creative abilities of students required to generate and appreciate future learning experiences because art makes learning fun. 

The students presented their immaculate work by making colourful and meaningful puppets by using interesting materials like colour paper, sticks, cloth, recycled medium etc. to create puppets. It was a true Learning Experience for all the participants. This fun-filled competition also encouraged their craftsmanship and artfulness.
