Creativity is the spark that turns simple materials into masterpieces. When we paint and decorate, we don’t just adorn objects – we express our emotions, imagination, and cultural stories, bringing light and beauty into the world.”

On 17th October 2024, Vydehi School of Excellence organized a creative and heartfelt Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) competition for Grade 4 students, titled “FLARE CRAFT.” The theme of the competition was on designing, painting, and decorating clay lamps. This hands-on activity not only sparked creativity but also allowed participants to explore traditional art forms, blending cultural significance with modern artistic expressions.

Children created mesmerizing color combinations and different patterns on the earthen diyas and displayed their creativity by beautifully decorating the diyas making it more enticing and attractive. The objective of the activity was twofold: to encourage artistic expression through paint and decoration, and to foster an appreciation for traditional crafts. By the end of the session, participants not only created aesthetically pleasing clay lamps but also developed skills in color theory, pattern making, and craftwork precision.
