Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) are a crucial part of the educational process. These activities provide scope for the development of creative faculties and skills. CCAs are in line with the CBSE’s Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system and help in keeping track of the holistic profile of learners through regular assessments of co-scholastic areas of development, making evaluation an integral part of the teaching-learning process and not in isolation from it. Vydehi School of Excellence had organised a speech competition on the topic Nation’s Pride on July 5, 2023, for the grade 6 students. The theme of the competition was IPL ambassadors. IPL stands for Indian Premier League, and it is a Twenty20 cricket tournament played by cricket players from all over the world.

Students spoke with finesse and fluency. Confidence seemed to ooze from their words. They came to the dais with credence and conviction. Their mettleful voice and poised body language made the judgement very difficult. Each one was awesome, and the best fit the judgement criteria—content, presentation, and expression.

Watching the kids speak with such vigour gave the teachers immense pride. Little Vydehians jolted the show completely.
