TOPIC – PATRIOTIC POEM RECITATION -CCA 3 (INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITY)

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words. Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility.
In the words of Oprah, “It’s about an ideal, and that ideal is freedom for everybody.” The love for nation or devotion towards the wellbeing of countrymen is what we call Patriotism. When the feel of freedom or patriotism is variegated with poetry, then we see the beauty of a patriotic poem. Vydehi School of Excellence has organised a CCA Poem Recitation competition on the theme of patriotism under the name Nation First, Always First. The grade 6 kids were fully equipped with their beautiful play of words and expressions through a collection of Patriotic Poems. It felt like music to the ears to orchestrate such an event. They qualified to the judgement criterion and the best three were selected as winners.
