We at Vydehi School of Excellence have started the offline school this week. Start of the school is always full of emotions and especially during this pandemic, it seemed more overwhelming than ever before. Between disrupted schedules, quarantines and virtual learning, the students did not have a normal educational experience during this pandemic. One could observe the mixed feelings of excitement, joy and confusion among the students, parents and teachers as well. All the children were looking forward to meet their friends and teachers in person.
We asked the students by conducting an activity to put their experiences, emotions, challenges and how their lives have changed. The students emphasized on how important it is to be physically present in the classroom, to interact with friends and to share opinions about different subjects with each other and with their teachers.
The readiness and enthusiasm of the parents, children and teachers to adapt to the new set of in-school rules makes the safe management of the learning process possible during this shared COVID-19 reality.
