India is a unique country where tradition and modernity coexist without much difficulty. This holds true in the sports field too. Alongside history, culture and Arts, India has thrived in the fields of different sports. Cricket, hockey, tennis, shooting, archery and a host of other contemporary sports are played in the country. Sports help improve our health, it keeps us fit and active and makes a man moral human being because it teaches many good qualities like leadership, discipline, teamwork and planning. It is considered as an excellent stressbuster. It also teaches the value of time and help an individual to boost his efficiency of work. One learns spirit of winning in life when one wants to win and he goes ahead in life.
To make the students aware of the history and importance of sports, Vydehi school of Excellence has conducted the CCA- “ECHOES OF INDIA’S SPORTING PAST” for Grade 7 students, on 07.02.2024, where the students elucidated their knowledge about sports. They were so effusive in exhibiting their views.
