“Imagination is the launchpad, and curiosity is the fuel that propels our rockets of innovation.
Vydehi School of Excellence has conducted the CCA activity for the month of September on the topic of GALACTIC PROPEL. On September 4th, our Grade 7 students embarked on an exciting journey into the world of aerospace engineering through the Galactic Propel: Straw Rocket Design Challenge. This hands-on activity challenged the students to apply their creativity and engineering skills to design and build their own straw rockets.

Using materials such as index cards or lightweight paper, the students constructed the rocket body, fins, and nose cone. With the help of tape and scissors, they meticulously assembled each component, ensuring their designs were aerodynamic and balanced. The real test came when they propelled their rockets by blowing air through the straw, sending them soaring forward.

This activity ignited the students’ interest in physics and engineering and fostered teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation. It was a fun and educational experience that allowed the students to explore the principles of rocket science engagingly and interactively.
