Grade 7 – Field Trip to HAL Aerospace Museum

“Nothing beats an exciting hands-on experience to deepen learning. The magic of a field trip isn’t just the subject. It’s the break in routine and adventure that opens up children’s minds to new things.”
Field trips are a way of enhancing classroom learning by making real world connections. Children who experience holistic development during their school years grow up to become global citizens. Giving equal weightage to both indoor as well as outdoor activities is what will make children well prepared for what lies outside in the real world. Going on a field trip enhances their critical thinking skills and gives students a chance to think about a topic or theme from a different perspective.
Grade 7 students of Vydehi school of excellence got a great opportunity to experience a field trip to HAL Aerospace Museum on 9th December 2022. HAL Aerospace Museum is India’s first aerospace museum located at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited premises. The museum houses display of various aircraft and helicopters, Aircraft engine models, Flight simulators, a mock Air Traffic Control Tower and exhibits of Indian aviation history. The students were enthusiastic and thrilled to see the miniature models of different types of planes and were inquisitive to know more about the radars, solar panels and herbal gardens that were on display. The display of photographs charting the growth of Aviation in each decade had the students spellbound. The trip proved to be enjoyable, informative and inspiring for the students.
