Grade 8, Akshatha Viswanath Honored with Prestigious “MASTER MADAN” Award

It is with great pride and delight that we would like to share that our student of grade 8, Akshatha Viswanath, has been chosen for the award of Scholarship in the field of Bharathnatyam under the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme, Ministry of Culture, Govt of India.

Recommendation for the scholarship would be made by the expert panel of judges after interviewing and assessing the children for their knowledge in the artform in all aspects viz. practically, philosophically and theoretically. Intent of the scholarship being enabling the much deserving children to pursue their talents and progress in the field with a little aid from the Government to propagate the artform. Added to this, Akshatha had secured a DISTINCTION with 97% in the Junior Grade examination in Bharatanatyam examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Board. She also has completed the Madhyama Pratham examination in Bharathnatyam conducted by the Akila Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Maharashtra.

Akshatha was honored with the prestigious “MASTER MADAN” award by the esteemed “Acharya Jialal Vasant Sangeet Niketan” towards recognition of genuine budding talent in art for the year 2020.
Akshatha had participated in various dance competitions held in Bangalore and had secured many awards and accolades.
