GRADE 8 Field Visit to VIDA

“Our world is built on biology and once we begin to understand it, it then becomes a technology.” – Ryan Bethencourt.

Science is one of the most important channels of knowledge. Learning science develops problem solving skills, boost critical thinking, cultivates a passion for learning, uplifts many disciplines, holds the key to future and technology. Science also involves a lot of communication with other people and develops patience and perseverance in children.

“Medicine is a science of uncertainty and an art of probability.” – William Osler.
We at Vydehi always encourage in exploring countless things & inspiring young learners to create a mindset of research and self-discovery. Keeping this mind, Grade 8 students of Vydehi School of Excellence, were taken to VIDA, on Friday, 10 November 2023. VIDA, Vydehi Discovery Museum, is the most comprehensive medical museum. It is a home of 50,000 sq ft for specimens of Anatomy, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Radiology, Forensics & Community medicine. The Pathology Museum, which displays diseased body parts and organs, has a popular section on life-style related diseases, and their impact on the human body. The museum catalysts curious minds and nurtures the medical ambition of the students.

It is a must visit place for the students who love Science. The museum visit gave the students an opportunity to appreciate the complex relationships of organs and structures in more detail than textbooks could provide. On the whole VIDA exhibits bring learning to life.
