This year our school took up the initiative of spreading love, joy, and happiness through the ‘Joy of Giving’ program. ‘Joy of Giving’ is a small initiative taken up by the 8th Grade Social Service Club students.

We Vydehians are thoughtful in promoting the aspects of social change and keep a start point to understand the challenges and speak loud the language of authentic, relevant charity and it’s importance.

With all the love and support of the students, parents, and staff this club was able to accelerate its noble cause of donation. Through this donation drive the students were able to collect food, clothes, toys, stationery, and other basic requirements. After collecting the items, we ensured that they were in proper condition and thereafter packed them. These were finally deposited to the Cheshire Homes Bangalore Unit on 9 December 2022.

It was a privilege and an honor to witness this donation drive coming to a fruitful end. We would also like to take this opportunity to introduce the students of the 8th grade Social Service Club – Nivedita, Suhani, Niyati, Shruti, Gunvi, Shreya, Ditya, Aanandita, Prajna, Krithi, and Avyukta.

We believe when the root is healthy the purpose of growth is also. All of us should come together not just during special occasions but all throughout the year to support and empower each other. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi ‘The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful then a thousand heads bowing in prayer.’
