Eyes are not just the windows to the soul; they are also the mirrors of our experiences. A person’s eyes reveal what they cannot say. They show the strength of our souls. To promote understanding of eye health and the significance of vision, on the reflective occasion of WORLD SIGHT DAY, the Department of Ophthalmology, Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Bengaluru has conducted a poster competition for grade 8 students on the theme “Love your Eyes Kids” on 5th October 2024.
Students participated effervescently in the activity portraying awareness about eye health and the importance of caring for our vision. The event aimed to foster creativity while emphasizing the significance of loving and protecting our eyes. Students worked individually to create posters that reflected their understanding of eye care, vision, and the beauty of Sight. Each submission briefly described the artwork and its connection to the theme. The competition culminated in a judging session where a panel of experts selected the top three entries.
