The Inter-School Chess Tournament hosted by the East point School, Bangalore, on 3rd and 4th of February 2024 in three categories of sub juniors, Juniors and Seniors, gave a stupendous platform to our students of Vydehi School of Excellence, who showcased fierce intellect and strategic prowess as they battled for supremacy. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation and concentration as young minds engaged in mental warfare.

The winners from senior category,

* Shailesh and Vedant Sharma from 9B secured 7th & 9th positions
* Varun from 8B secured 10th
* Sahiti from 9A secured 11th
* Mahasvin from 8B has secured 13th
* Nithilan from 8D secured 15th position.

Students expressed their enthusiasm and significance of the victory, stating, “Chess is not just a game; it’s a test of patience and strategic thinking.”

From Junior Category

* Vedanth of 5E secured 3rd position,
* Achinthya from 4L secured 6th position,
* Ayush Padhmanaban from 6B got 7th,
* Shivank Mohapatra from 4E has secured 8th and
* Harvey Batra from 6I secured 11th position.

The tournament was nothing less than a philanthropic show of critical thinking and decision making. Our students as always, made us immensely proud and showcased their exceptional talent, and a spirit of healthy rivalry.
