Janapada Loka Museum – School Field Trip

School field trips play a pivotal role in education, offering unique benefits that extend beyond traditional classroom learning.

Embarking on, Vydehi School of Excellence’s field trip for the middle school students from grade 7 & 8, was an educational odyssey filled with discovery. From the moment the school bus rolled out, excitement buzzed through the air as students eagerly anticipated the day’s adventures.

Our visit to Janapada Loka Museum was a mesmerizing immersion into the vibrant tapestry of Karnataka’s folk culture. Tucked away in the serene countryside, the museum unfolded as a cultural sanctuary, preserving the essence of rural traditions and folk art.

One of the highlights was the live demonstrations by local artisans, providing a firsthand glimpse into traditional craftsmanship.  The outdoor section transported all of us to a folk fair, with life-sized replicas of rural homes, bullock carts, and communal gathering spaces.

The museum stood not just as a repository of artifacts but as a living tribute to the resilience and creativity of Karnataka’s rural communities.

Visit to Janapada Loka Museum was a captivating expedition into the heart of Karnataka’s folk heritage.

It left all the students with a profound appreciation for the rich cultural mosaic that thrives in the simplicity and authenticity of rural life, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking to connect with the roots of Karnataka’s vibrant traditions.
