Kannada Rajyotsava or Kannada Day is celebrated every year on November 1st to commemorate the foundation of the state of Karnataka. Pre-primary wing of Vydehi School of Excellence celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava Day with much enthusiasm. The significance of turmeric (yellow) and kumkum (red) colours of the flag depicting forgiveness and bravery respectively were shown through presentations. The Karnataka state anthem”Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujate” was presented to salute the glorious culture and heritage of the state of Karnataka. It instilled a great sense of pride in the young minds for being a part of a culture that is so rich and vibrant.
