Poem, a form of literature that uses aesthetic and often rhythmic qualities of language, has the power to heal. It helps us stay sane and most importantly, it encourages us to bring out our inner most feelings in words. Beauty is the realm of poetry. It gives an opportunity to the students to enjoy the beauty of expression, thoughts, feeling, rhyme, rhythm and music of words.
Taking all these facts into consideration, Vydehi School of Excellence has conducted a poem writing competition for grade 7 students on 2nd August, 2021. This competition inspired the young poets to come forward to write and recite on the theme, “How would I contribute to the development of my country?” It was a splendid opportunity for them to express their literary skills, confidence, voice modulation; memorization and everyone were delighted with their performances. The participants, with their scintillating performances, filled the air with the feeling of patriotism, affection and respect for the motherland.
