PRE-PRIMARY FESTIVAL CELEBRATIONS

“The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals – Siddharth Katragadda”
In our country which is filled with many beliefs and cultures, festivals convey a deep meaning and contain a unique purpose. To emphasize on this, Vydehi School of Excellence celebrated VARALAKSHMI VRATHAM, ONAM AND RAKSHA BANDHAN with Pre-Primary students.
The students learnt about Muharram – a special day of remembrance, prayer and fast observed by the Muslims, Varalakshmi Vratham – a day of prayer and celebration, Onam – an important harvest festival celebrated by the Keralites with various festivities and Raksha Bandhan – a day where the sisters tie a “Rakhi” to their brothers and receive a gift in return from them as a sign of their protection and care towards them. The entire day was filled with joy and a festive mood as the tiny tots came in their traditional attires and had an amazing day.
