The 68th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Vydehi School Of Excellence on 26th January 2017. Honourable Advisor Mam Ms. Lali Mathews and respected Principal Mam, Mrs Sinia Sajith hoisted the national flag. The students saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to upholding the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is
“India”..
The choir group presented a patriotic song- “jayathi” that reverberated in the surroundings and created the feeling of unity in all. This was followed by a humorous yet informative street play that stressed on the importance of the voting system in India. Every dialogue with its unique delivery captured the hearts of the young audience and the applauds never stopped. Strong Monologues in English and Hindi were presented by three students who did not just commit every word to their memories but emoted from their hearts. They spoke about our republican nation and how it honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into force. The program ended with yet another melodious fusion of two songs that marked the perfect ending to this pleasant, wintry but warm Thursday morning of January 26th in the Vydehi campus.
The students dispersed with the image of the fluttering tricolor in their minds.
