A special assembly was presented by the students of grade 1 A-F on the topic “Do You Know Me?” to highlight the significance of books. Although the smart gadgets in our hand these days are easy to use and more attractive but books remain our prime weapon in the fight against illiteracy and opening the door to knowledge, essential to individual self-esteem and empowerment.

Reading books sparks child’s imagination and stimulate curiosity. Reading books with children has benefits for grown-ups too. The special time you spend reading together promotes bonding and helps to build your relationship. Through this assembly children learnt that books , in all forms, play an essential role in our lives.
