To create awareness in the young minds, a story telling competition named “Tiger-My friend” was held on 28th July, 2017 at Venkatappa Art Gallery organized by Heritage foundation.

This charismatic species has always been a boon to us. To stop this top predator from being extinct as it plays a pivotal role in keeping the population of wild in check, thereby maintaining the balance between prey herbivores and the vegetation upon which they feed. So, this wonderful predator needs to be preserved .With this view point and to spread awareness on a large scale, the competition was organized at interschool level.

600 children from various schools in Bangalore participated in this competition. Out of which Vydehi kids bagged the first and second position. The venue of the prize distribution ceremony was at Venkatappa Art Gallery. Aditi Padhee from 1C secured the first postion and Krishnatej P from 1H secured the second position.
