Guy Fieri stated that “Cooking with kids is not just about ingredients, recipes and cooking. It’s about harnessing imagination, empowerment and creativity”.
Food is a universal necessity, but cooking is an art. The experience of cooking promotes the lifetime skill of healthy cooking and eating habits, boosts the self-confidence of children. It also helps to explore their senses. It allows them to explore the traditional food habits and their health benefits. Moreover, the cooking experience helps them to acquire new vocabularies, increases math ability, introduces scientific concepts and encourages family bonding. To have such a memorable experience and to discover the hidden cooking talents of our little chefs, Vydehi School of Excellence conducted an online co-curricular competition entitled ‘Tricolour Fireless Cooking’ for grade-3 (primary wing) students on August 3rd, 2021.
It provided such a great platform for the students to foster their creative and decision-making skills. The participants mesmerized everyone with their artistic and hygienic presentations.
