Van Mahotsav

Van Mahotsav, a week-long festival of tree plantation was organized to lend a green touch to the environment. The community club of Vydehi School of Excellence celebrated Van Mahotsav week from 3rd July to 7th July 2019 in the school campus to sensitize the students about their role in conserving nature. The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. The focus of the celebration was to promote environmental awareness and benefits of the trees which help to understand the need to be planted time to time.
Various activities were carried through process of experience, reflection and creation. Students of community club took initiative to participate in awareness program “Save trees, save life” to make our trees saving service volunteer to participate in the events to know the issues related to reducing the number of plants on the earth.
The students of grade VIII participated in Bookmark making activity. They brought old books, greeting cards, used chart papers, etc to make book marks. Each bookmark had an eco-friendly message. Messages on the book marks left everyone to ponder over and raised awareness about the benefits of plantation.
Van Mahotsav week came up to be a great success. The events helped to bring awareness about the green surroundings. Students got to learn a lot and will always cherish the memories of this important occasion.
